Vegetable Soup

Soup can be prepared using any vegetable or few greens.

Example:
Vegetables: Ash Gourd, Snake Gourd, Chayote (Chuw Chuw), etc..
Greens: Paalak or Tropical Amaranth (Sirukeerai in Tamil)

Ingredients:
  1. Vegetable / greens - 1 cup
  2. Cumin seeds - 1/2 spoon
  3. Ginger - small piece
  4. Fresh Coconut milk - 1 cup
  5. Pepper powder - 1/4 or 1/2 spoon (according to the taste)
  6. Salt - 1 pinch  (according to the taste)
Method:
  1. Wash the vegetable / greens thoroughly and cut into big pieces. 
  2. Take a pan and add a small quantity of water to boil the vegetable / greens. 
  3. Add  the Cumin seeds and ginger in the pan. Once it is slightly cooked (3 to 5 minutes will be good enough), trun-off the stove. 
  4. When it becomes cool, use mixer grinder and make paste. 
  5. Transfer the paste to the same pan and add required water to get soup consistency.
  6. Heat it up for few minutes and turn-off the stove.
  7. Add salt and Pepper powder according to your taste. 
  8. Finally add the Coconut milk and mix well. 
Note:
  1. Keep the Coconut milk ready before boiling the vegetables.
